For families of children and youth UNDER age 18, NAMI Basics for Parents and Caregivers is a free 6 week education class for parents and caregivers. In this course, we cover an introduction to basic mental illness diagnoses, IEP and 504 school plans, records keeping, communication and empathy workshops and more. We have a class starting in the North County area of San Diego County on Saturday morning, Sept 7 from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm which goes through October 19, 2019, and skipping Saturday October 5.
