Description:

El grupo de apoyo Padres Empoderando a Padres (Parents Empowering Parents – “ PEP”) es una reunión MENSUAL, GRATUITA, EN LINEA organizada y facilitada por el Departamento de Niños, Adolescentes y Familias (CYFL) de NAMI San Diego (Alianza Nacional de Enfermedades de Salud Mental). Se tratan temas de conducta problemática y otros retos relacionados con trastornos de salud mental.

La asistencia al grupo es limitada y exclusiva para los familiares de ADULTOS que cuidan jóvenes (hasta 25 años) que viven con trastornos de salud mental con residencia en los condados de San Diego y Valle Imperial. Los grupos de apoyo tiene una capacidad máxima de 20 participantes por sesión.

El grupo de apoyo estará disponible en inglés y español:

Inglés: miércoles - El tercer miércoles del mes;

Español: miércoles – El primer miércoles del mes; 1 julio, 5 agosto, 2 septiembre, 7 octubre, 4 noviembre, 2 diciembre

La reunión se llevará a cabo utilizando la plataforma ZOOM.

English description:

The Parents Empowering Parents PEP Meeting is run by NAMI SD’s CYF Liaison and offers San Diego parents and caregivers a FREE, open, bi-monthly ONLINE support group meeting for parents and caregivers of children and youth (through age 25) living with challenging behaviors, mental and behavioral health concerns.

Attendance is limited to adult family members of children, youth and adult children who live with behavioral health conditions and are San Diego and Imperial County residents. There is a maximum number of 20 people allowed in each online support meeting.

This meeting will rotate bi-monthly English and Spanish, with the following dates / languages:

English meetings: Each 3rd Wednesday monthly from 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Spanish meetings: Each 1st Wednesday monthly from 6:00 - 7:30 pm

This meeting will take place on the Zoom platform.
